our living room inspo

i spent *months* pinning and dreaming up alll the decoration dreams for when we moved into the house at the end of 2020. our main priority was the living/dining room because our whole main floor is those rooms, plus the kitchen! meaning: all of our bedrooms are upstairs, so we wanted to make our main floor feel homey and a place to host as soon as possible (on a budget).

the first thing we did was paint the whole main floor because our house came in this slight grey color when we wanted it to be white so it could be as light as possible! we started painting the *day* we moved in. if you’re thinking about painting a room or your home in general, just do it! it is a few hours of work and suffering (lol) in the moment, but will be SO DANG WORTH IT to just DO it immediatelyyyy. we were shocked what a huge difference it made in the main floor once it was done!

the tv corner

our style is fairly simple and modern with a touch of boho, but we knew we wanted a color pop. this color is “Moroccan Sky” by Behr.

our top priority (besides the paint) was a coffee nook and commmmfy couch. our coffee nook is actually an ikea DIY, here’s the reel i made for the step by step on it! it’s a superrr cheap solution for lots of storage or display.
